Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a special item that makes certain Pokemon evolve. The Upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc, and is often offered as a reward in Pokemon GO events.
Upgrades can be applied to weapons, armors trinkets, weapons, and gathering tools in order to increase the level of their item. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests, based on the type of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to offer bonus effects or attributes when the equipment is used. The equipment being upgraded must have an available upgrade slot to accommodate the component, and the majority of upgrade components require the item to be upgraded to be at a certain level. Some upgrade items also have special effects when they are applied to an equipment piece. Upgrade components are available through crafting, bought by Karma merchants or exchanged with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be rescued from equipment and received as rewards.

Various upgrade components are available, each providing an individual bonus. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions, are able to be used on any kind of equipment. They also offer smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions are used in non-amulet ascended equipment and legendary equipment, while enrichments are used for some items that have been ascended. Inserting an upgrade component will destroy the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs which can only be used in gathering tools, as well as enchantments. Both are able to be removed and replaced.
Insignias and enchantments will display their name in the hover display of the item, while upgrades that have a suffix or prefix will add their names to the end of the name of the equipment (e.g., a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will display the number of upgrades that have been added to it.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, like ligatures and ornaments, fractions, swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel lets you add and view these unique characters, along with common symbols like em and en dashes, as well in trademark symbols that are registered.
Each Glyph gives an initial boost to the stats of the character. It also includes up to four secondary stats that affect the glyph's radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats can be described as a %-increase that is multiplied when other bonuses have been applied except for Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.
Selecting the Glyphs and clicking "enchant" will activate the Glyphs. This will bring up a new window that displays the Glyphs you have that can be applied to the selected item. Make sure you select the right kind of Glyph can be applied to the selected item and every weapon, jewelry or armor piece has a different set of available Glyphs.
You can increase the level of Glyphs by working through Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the Dungeon is, the greater Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph has reached level 15, it can be upgraded on the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The Paragon Board's radius increases by one node every 15 levels at which a Glyph is upgraded.
When a Glyph is at the desired level you can activate it. Select it, then click the "enchant button". The Glyph that is created will grant its stated benefit, and boost other nodes within its area on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs where they can best benefit your game, which is why it's recommended to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs can also provide double bonuses when certain conditions are satisfied.
Click the cycle widget to change the perspective of the Glyphs Panel. Each view shows the Glyphs in a different font. You can narrow down the selection of glyphs by selecting an option below "Entire Font". For example, punctuation is only displayed in punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limit the options to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process of creating a new account in order to increase your chances of acquiring the character or weapon you'd like. It is done to to level up faster, or to gain more valuable loot like the purchase of a new weapon for your character. Many players roll again until they find the characters that they like regardless of their strength. It could be that they like the design or personality of the character.
You should ensure that you make clean changes every time you reroll. This means you should check locally that the patch passes the pre-commit checks, and you should also run a core development check. It is also recommended to upload the patch to an issue by using an unmodified diff (see What about an interdiff? ).
Rerolls may take days or weeks, depending on how lucky you are. During this period, you should avoid enemy camps that are optional to save time. Also, avoid repeating item upgrades that you can complete later in the game. This can save you time and energy.
When rerolling, it's essential to be aware the upgrade system. There are several ways to improve your character's power and appearance. Upgrades, rerolling characters, and upgrading weapons are all options. In addition, it's important to understand the limitations of the upgrade system.
Rerolling may not be a necessity but it's a way to increase your chances of getting a certain character or weapon. You can use it to determine the best character or to experiment with different styles of play and builds.
Sets
A set is an object collection that has two common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen, or the members of a group). Sets can be used for operations such as intersection, union and difference.
Upgrades make a set item better than it was before. For weapons and armor this means that it gets an increase in the base defense as well as a lower strength requirement and a lower level requirement.
Upgrades can bring items that are popular from single sets to the same level as those in higher-tier sets. For example upgrading Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired Helm boosts the defense from 217 to 321 and reduces the strength requirement and level requirement to a lower range.
It is important to keep in mind that not all items in a set can be upgraded. Some sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield, a spec's item or Naj's Puzzler staff, are already Elite and Exceptional in their own right and don't need upgrading. Some items, such as Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are used frequently may be benefited by an upgrade to boost their value. For such items, it may be worth the extra expense to upp them.
