Path of Exile Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are a common and crucial method to enhance the performance of numerous items in Path of Exile. They can be a good source of extra damage and more AD or even more attaches.
In most cases, however, upgraded Common and Magic gear is outclassed by Rare-grade gear due to their higher requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades can be applied to both armor and weapon items. They increase the effectiveness of the item they are connected to. They can also be salvaged by using a specialist or higher salvage kit to retrieve upgrade components from other items.
The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to take on. The absorption of damage by a piece armor will increase as it is upgraded to the maximum upgrade level. It is important to note that this will increase the weight of the armor, which means it must be heavier.
There are a few different kinds of armor upgrades that are available in the game and they all have distinct effects. For instance, some upgrades will grant the armor a certain amount of health points while others will make it lighter and stronger. The type of armor upgrade that an item can receive is indicated by the name of the upgrade, as shown in the table below.
A few upgrades are magic or a hybrid of technology and magic, which is indicated by the "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Certain upgrades also require fees for use. These are identified as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges for these upgrades refresh every day or never expire, according to the upgrade.
The cheapest method of upgrading armor is to use Iron Ore, which can be obtained by exploring the area and looting chests of minor loot. Weapons
Weapon upgrades allow players to enhance certain aspects of their weapon. For instance, an upgrade may enhance the damage caused by the shells of a shotgun or the accuracy of a rifle sniper. Certain weapons come with special upgrades that enhance their inherent qualities. Frictionless materials (improves stability, reduces the risk of weapon overheating), and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's acceleration for greater damage) are two examples.
The majority of upgrades for weapons require the use of a whetblade, or one of the three Power Dices and a different amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be obtained by completing side quests or by killing a certain number of bosses and monsters.

To increase their level quicker, players usually be more inclined to upgrade their weapons. Like other upgrade components jewels can be swapped by a different jewel of the same type without damaging the original one. However it is only possible to replace a jewel in a piece of equipment only once.
Using more jewels in the movement will make it feel smoother and is typically used for aesthetic reasons. The jewels can also enhance performance and create a harder surface than steel so that repeated friction caused by pivots does not damage them.
In addition to the above upgrades additionally, players can acquire glyphs for their weapons and shields from a Glyphmaster. These glyphs offer a small boost and can be traded, but they're not guaranteed to show up as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded, like jewelry, at the Jeweler for gold and scattered Crystal. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Trinkets

The first trinkets a player is able to unlock is the cloak. It grants an unimportant but beneficial boost in speed of movement and the ability to escape. After that, they'll be able to acquire rings, amulets, and necklaces in a similar fashion to how the player obtains armor and weapons.
